Changed my mind

I have been helping some friends to design their wedding invitations, and thought the Brighton crafts fair would give me some inspiration. It turned out to be the biggest craft fair/market I have ever been to in my life. Materials from card marking and paper crafts to textile arts. It's amazing how many different trimmers and cutters you can get nowadays. Anyone (with money for the tools) can make a decent card. It reminded me that a few years ago I was obsessed with Craftster and Etsy. I should re-ignite my crafty fingers again and make my boyfriend a Valentine's card/present. How about also making some products to sell as well?

Hello World.

Someone once said "creativity is like a muscle - it can be built, strengthened and made flexible through practise." So I started looking at the professionals (lomokev) work and going to exhibitions - The wildlife photographer award  is my favourite.

I have always enjoyed carrying my camera with me wherever I go. I moved away from home to study abroad at an early age. So I travel a lot between Europe and East Asia. I used to develop a roll of film every week and post them back to my parents to report on my weekly teenage dramas! Three years ago, I was given a second hand Pentax P30 film SLR (yes I know, I have very kind friends!). This was my introduction to aperture (the size of an iris), shutter speed (the speed of a blink) and a whole new set of challenges. But the quality and the depth of the photos amazed me, my interest grew and I finally treated myself to a Canon 500D SLR a year ago (with my work bonus of course!).

Join me on a journey of some personal-style-discovery-skills-improving experiments :)
